World Cancer Day 2014 “Debunking the Myths”
Each year over 12.7 million people receive a cancer diagnosis and 7.6 million people die from the disease. Did you know that 30-40% of cancers can be cured through early diagnosis and treatment?
“Debunk the Myths” is World Cancer Day’s theme for 2014. The purpose of the day is to dispel the misconceptions about cancer, in particular the myth that cancer is a disease affecting rich countries – cancer affects everyone, no matter where they may be in the world!
